Yorkdale Shopping Centre review
The first mall in North America, this sprawling neon structure has been expanding since it opened in 1964, leaving no retailer (local or foreign) uninvited. Once a hangout for teens from local working-class neighbourhoods, Yorkdale has scrubbed up, and now houses a Holt Renfrew, Coach, Harry Rosen, Pottery Barn, Aveda, MAC, Foot Locker, HMV and 200 other shops, plus a large cinema, restaurants and professional services, such as valet car parking.
