Even with five locations citywide, Book City is still the ideal small bookshop. Sophisticated, hard-to-find literary magazines and low-budget Canadian upstarts all feature, and there are few better places to pick up a Sunday New York Times (though copies sell quickly). It sells new hardcover books at 10% off the cover price and offers more discounts with a loyalty card. Staff are bright and helpful.
