The latest venue to open for theatre is a show-stopper in itself: 19th-century tank houses in the Distillery District were converted into three stages, a spacious foyer, a bookstore, and a café and cosy nook with a fireplace. Local architect firm KPMB kept the exposed beams and rough brick walls for aesthetics, though the acoustics suffer as a result in some seats. Soulpepper Theatre stages performances year-round. Combine the show with dinner at nearby Perigee.
