The epitome of la-di-da, Holt Renfrew is a glittering temple for high-end attire and pampering products. The Canadian retail dynasty, which owns Brown Thomas in Dublin and London's Selfridges, attracts visiting celebs and local gentry, who have been known to send their chauffeurs inside to collect goods while they wait in their limos. There's no need to though: hotel-style suites coddle the stars and keep them from the hoi polloi. Not that they need much protection: regular shoppers here no doubt charge their purchases of Armani, Jimmy Choo or the latest European denim to their platinum cards. Following a facelift, more designers were added to the brimming portfolio, including Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs, Mercy and others. World Design Lab (for emerging and experimental international fashion) and vintage couture are also here, and, on the ground floor, there's a glossy new fragrance and handbags pavilion for Jo Malone, Susanne Lang, Kate Spade, Lulu Guinness and other top brands. There's more to come: another plush expansion with the promise of more poshness. Holt's also has a concierge on the ground floor to assist in anything from booking flights to getting theatre tickets.
