Nightlife

To hang out over a few beers, there's nothing better than a stroll along Lagos Street in Garki, a rapidly disappearing stretch of outdoor bars and grills. Elsewhere, the city has no nightlife hub, the action concentrated randomly in malls and hotels. Of these venues, the most celebrated is Blakes Resort & Nightclub (Ahmadu Bello Way, Garki, 09 413 1624), a raucous mish-mash of musical styles, with a full kitchen and fish stand. The 24-hour Bolingo Bar (Bolingo Hotel & Towers, Independence Avenue, Central Business District Area 10, Garki, 09 461 5000) offers cocktails, peppered snails, and highlife and reggae music.
