Seasonal Belgrade

Every year Belgrade celebrates its official holy day, the Feast of the Ascension, which is 40 days after the Serb Orthodox Easter and is marked with a procession along Kralja Milana Street. Another event of note is the Belgrade Summer Festival (www.belef.org), a mix of theatre, dance, visual arts and music, which takes place in venues and public spaces around town in July and August. Classical music performances are held in theatres during the BEMUS Belgrade Music Festivities (www.bemus.co.yu), which is in early October and lasts for about two weeks. For the Exit festival, see below.
