Commercial Hohe Strasse branches into Schildergasse and ends up on Neumarkt. The boutiques for serious shopping addicts can be found to the west and north of Neumarkt: Pfeilstrasse and Mittelstrasse, in particular, break your heart if you have only a small budget. Further along Apostelstrasse and more off the beaten track is Ehrenstrasse, with affordable boutiques, cafés and label stores. The best international bookshop for art, cinema and design is König (Ehrenstrasse 4, 205 960).
