Djinns (The Hyatt Regency, Ring Road, +911126791234) is still a very popular disco-cum-nightclub with gut-busting music and a dance floor that looks like a meat grinder, but the fickle 'in' crowd have gravitated in the direction of lounge bars with trance music. One that's especially good is Shalom ( N-Block Market, Greater Kailash Part I, +91119810048084); relax with a genuine hookah (the 'smoke' aromatic and tobacco-free), nibble on the delectable eats and let the music float you to nirvana. It's packed on weekends so call and book ahead. For music and dance performances there's almost always something on at the India International Centre (40 Max Mueller Marg, +911124619431) or the India Habitat Centre (Lodhi Road, +911124682222) where you can get to enjoy India's finest maestro performances for free.
