Tune up your triathlon performance in the south of France
Competitive duathlete and triathlete Mark McKay and his wife, Sarah, run two types of triathlon training camp near Perpignan in the south of France. Both are aimed at improving your performance in the run and bike stages of the triathlon, which are where you can gain the most ground in the race. There’s also the opportunity to swim in local pools or the sea, though there is no official swimming training.

Group camps cater for five to 25 people. There are a mixed group camps scheduled for March 10-17 and April 14-21 and a women-only camp sandwiched in between from March 17-24. A typical week begins on the Sunday with a steady ride in the morning, followed by a relatively undemanding run in the afternoon. The rest of the week is mixed up with interval, hill and technique sessions, with a bike time trial towards the end. There are additional talks from a nutritionist and physio, and massages are also available. Half-board accommodation is in local small hotels.
