Learn Arabic

Where Teutouan, Morocco
The Mediterranean port of Teutouan, founded in 3 BC, was fought over by the Spanish and the Moors until 1956, and is now one of northern Morocco’s most important centres. The old part of town is considered one of the finest medinas in the country and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A week-long course includes four hours’ tuition per day, and two lessons in either traditional ceramics or cookery.

Learn Chinese

Where Shanghai, China
Try Chinese on tuition courses tailored to your stay; more dedicated students can opt for a full immersion and stay with a Chinese family. Work experience programmes and groups for teenagers are also available.

Book with Mandarin House (+86 21 6137 1987, www.mandarinhouse.cn).

Learn French

Where Côte d’Azur, France
Hang out on the chic French Riviera between Cannes and Nice, while brushing up on your French, and wind down with celebrity-spotting, yacht-envying and excursions – and ‘soft’ language-themed activities in the centre. The Centre International d’Antibes will keep your children busy. A range of levels is available.

Learn German

Where Freiburg, Germany
A fairytale town between the Black Forest and the Rhine, Freiburg is famed for its thermal baths, hikes and, of course, that world-renowned cake layered with cherries, cream and a dash of rum. The established Goethe-Institut (www.goethe.de) has been teaching German for more than 50 years, and also offers exam preparation and courses for children.

Learn Italian

Where Capo Vaticano, Calabria, Italy
Close to the tip of Italy’s toes, dip yours into turquoise waters in peaceful bays between lessons. Spectacular views from the cliff tops led Greeks to consider this cape a holy spot. Popular with birdwatchers and scuba divers, it beats evening classes in the local tech.

Book with Languages Abroad (www.languagesabroad.com).

Learn Japanese

Where Osaka, Japan
Check the month for festivals before booking classes here. The Naked Festival in January boasts fighting men in loincloths, while almost every month there are traditional dances, geisha parades and ceremonies.

Book with Languages in Action (www.languagesinaction.com).

Learn Portuguese

Where Salvador, Brazil
Relax under palm trees on white-sand beaches. Learn to surf. Take a mask to snorkel among the beautiful reefs. They’ll also teach you to samba… and if you have any energy left, there are 20 language classes a week.

Book with GoLearnTo (0844 502 0445, www.golearnto.com).

Learn Spanish

Where Cusco, Peru
With classes in both the ancient Inca capital of Cusco and in a small town in the Sacred Valley, this course includes a four-day Inca Trail trek, three nights’ camping, meals and entry to Machu Picchu.

Dear Madam/Sir,

I write to You because of the following:

A new issue is going to be published on the 1st of February in 2011. Its name will be

and baby sitter agencies, scholarships, student exchange programmes, foreign schools and
employers.

The advertising rates:

quarter page – 300 000 HUF

If You would like to advertise in our issue, we look forward to receiving your feedback.

I learned Spanish in a charming language school in Buenos Aires. It is located in the relaxed and upcoming area of Palermo with lots of bars and restaurants around. The stuff is really great and clases are fun, since you focus on oral skills. Plus: the price is quite fair.

Greetings from Buenos Aires!
