A few affordable three-star hotels are found near Cornavin station, of which Hotel Edelweiss (place de la Navigation 2, www.manotel.com/edelweiss, 544 51 51, Sfr170-Sfr300) has character.
The classy Cornavin (Gare de Cornavin, www.fhotels.ch, 716 12 12, Sfr251-Sfr487) boasts, among its charms, the world’s largest pendulum clock.
