Set between France and Tuscany, Liguria has plenty of beautiful towns and villages close enough to visit. To the east you’ll find the picturesque Riviera di Levante, including Recco, which is home of focaccia col formaggi. The fishing village of Camogli is charming and offers a boat service to the equally pretty port of Portofino. Nervi, which is just 15 minutes from downtown Genoa, is a convenient harbour resort and worthy of a visit. Further down the coast, the five villages of the Cinque Terre are noted for their breathtaking walking trails.
