Havana is filled with bars and clubs for dancing, or just listening, and every night of the week you’re guaranteed to find something of interest. The best way to approach the plethora of live music available is to go to where the best bands are playing rather than wait for them to come to you.

There is a regular rotation of bands among the premier clubs, namely the Casa de la Música de Centro Habana (Calle Galiano, entre Neptuno y Concordia, +5378624165), the Casa de la Música de Miramar (Calle 20, esquina 35, Playa, +5372040447), the Salón Piano Bar ‘Delirio Habanero’ (Teatro Nacional de Cuba, Paseo, esquina 39, Plaza de la Revolución, +5378790710) and Café Cantante Mi Habana (Teatro Nacional de Cuba, Paseo, esquina 39, Plaza de la Revolución, +5378790710). All managed by EGREM, one of the three national recording labels, they have access to the best bands. Look out for Los Van Van, Paulito FG and Isaac Delgado, among others.
