Lagos can offer a wide range of hotels, many with destination restaurants and bars, gyms and leisure facilities, although the city does need a better stock of mid-range, mid-priced hotels if tourism is to be encouraged.
The most prestigious place in town is the Eko Hotel & Suites (Plot 1415, Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, 01 262 4600, www.ekohotels.com, N51,500), with six restaurants and the latest in sports facilities. The sumptuous Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel (292B Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, 01 271 9800, www.vcphotel.com, N39,000) provides extravagant rooms, a pool with its own bar and a quality Italian restaurant. More individual style can be found at the boutique Bogobiri Guest House (9 Maitama Sul Street, SW Ikoyi, 01 474 7421, www.bogobirilagos.com, N23,000), with ten imaginatively created rooms, yoga classes and massage facilities. The Michael Lodge & Restaurant (Plot 1411, Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, 01 261 0188, N17,500) is great for the price and location.
For proximity to the airport, the respected Sheraton Lagos Hotel & Towers (30 Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, 01 497 8660, N50,000) and the simple Tamarin (158 Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA, Ikeja, 01 497 9160, www.tamarinhotels.com, N15,000) both offer comfort and convenience.
