For luxury and convenience, you can’t do better than the Crowne Plaza Lille (335 boulevard de Leeds, 03 20 42 46 46, www.lille-crowneplaza.com, €175-€200) by Euralille station, with well-equipped rooms and a sauna. Mid-range, the Hôtel de la Treille (7-9 place Louise de Bettignies, 03 20 55 45 46, €86-€95) is comfortable and modern; the Hôtel Breughel (5 parvis St-Maurice, 03 20 06 06 69, www.hotel-breughel.com, €73-€86) is a surprisingly attractive two-star. For budget lodgings, two cheapies are in place de la Gare: Hôtel Faidherbe (No.42, 03 20 06 27 93, €30-€45) and Hôtel Le Coq Hardi (No.34, 03 20 06 05 89, €32-€37).
