The first big event of the year is Carnival, concentrated in Valletta but also celebrated in an original fashion in Nadur, on Gozo. In July crowds flock to the Grand Harbour for the annual Jazz Festival. Autumn sees the annual Malta International Airshow (www.maltairshow.com, end Sept) and the Malta Historic Cities Festival (early Oct), 11 days of music, dance and pageantry in Malta’s main historic cities.
