Between the endless entertainment of the jeepneys (P4-P10) and the speedy modernity of the LRT (4.30am -10.45pm, P12), you could almost do without other options. Taxis are certainly cheap enough (starting at P25) but maintaining constant vigilance against rip-offs, not to mention the inescapable bartering, can get tiresome.

Buses are useful only on the main roads (5am -11.30pm, P8-20, depending on destination), although vans, a more comfortable option, pick up the slack.
