All across Slavonia, each town marks its saint's day with a celebration known as the Kirvaj. Part village fete, part family get-together, part thanksgiving, it's an all-day event involving feasting, merriment and groups of tamborasi musicians wandering from door to door. Tourist offices will have details of each town's saint's day.
