The good-value Oslo Package from the tourist office includes accommodation at one of 34 hotels (from kr495 per night) and the Oslo Pass (see above). Of the upmarket options, there’s the historic Grand Hotel (Karl Johans Gate 31, 23 21 20 00, www.grand.no, kr2,290-kr2,990), with its restaurants and high-end comforts, or the tasteful Hotel Continental (Stortingsgaten 24/26, 22 82 40 00, www.hotel-continental.no, kr995-kr2,650). The Comfort Hotel Børsparken (Tollbugaten 4, 22 47 17 17, www.choice-hotels.no, kr690-kr1,495) is a superbly located bolthole, and the impressive Thon Hotel Opera (Christian Fredriksplass 5, 24 10 30 30, www.thonhotels.no/opera, kr990-kr1,795) is nearby. The Thon Hotel Terminus (Stenersgaten 10, 22 05 60 00, www.thonhotels.no/terminus, kr820-kr1,245) is good | value and couldn’t be more central. For a cheaper stay, there’s the quirky Bed & Breakfast hostel (Langakaia, Bjørvika, 22 41 95 00, www.msinnvik.no, kr700) at the theatre boat MS Innvik, or Cochs Pensjonat (Parkveien 25, 23 33 24 00, www.cochspensjonat.no, kr560-kr720).
