Jewish Cemetery
Fibichova, Vinohrady
Not to be confused with the Old Jewish Cemetery in Staré Mêsto, this neglected posthumous home to Franz Kafka, founded in 1890, has ivy- covered graves mainly as a result of the Holocaust – few family members now remain to care for the graves while those across the street are lovingly weeded and given fresh flowers. For Kafka’s grave, follow the sign by the Želivského metro entrance; it’s approximately 200m (660 ft) down the row by the southern cemetery wall.
