Unless you’ve got 19 friends to book a party inside, you’ll be relegated to the exteriors of this monumental mausoleum for communist big-wigs, where Klement Gottwald was encased in glass for a time. Its façades feature Soviet war heroes and it’s topped by the largest equestrian statue in the world, a 16.5ton (16,764kg) effigy of Hussite hero Jan Žižka. The view from the top of Vítkov hill’s impressive too.
