Spanish Synagogue
Reopened after long neglect in 1998, this temple’s domed interior glows with green, red and faux gold leaf, and houses varied and inspired new exhibitions on Jewish history and a stunning exhibition of synagogue silver. Its predecessor predated the Altneu Synagogue but it was rebuilt in 1868 in the then-fashionable Moorish style.
