A funky gallery specialising in surrealist art, this one just happens to be owned by the world-renowned animator Jan Švankmajer, who lives in the attached house. It’s a part of the Nový Svêt enclave, a collection of brightly coloured cottages restored in the 18th and 19th centuries – all that remains of Hradčany’s medieval slums. The others were destroyed in the great fire of 1541.
