National Gallery Collection of 19th-, 20th- & 21st-Century Art

Veletržní palác, Dukelských hrdinů 47

This functionalist building, designed by Oldřich Tyl and Josef Fuchs and opened in 1929, houses the National Gallery’s collections of modern and contemporary art, including paintings by Karel Purkynê and 19th-century symbolists like Max Švabinský and František Bílek. The groundbreaking abstract artist František Kupka is well represented here as well, along with Czech cubists.
