The Rippl family won back their c1470 Malá Strana house from the state after 1989 and, fortunately for their writer and artist regulars, opened the House at the Big Boot to guests in order to fund its restoration. Now it’s a prime bargain and the most rewarding place to stay at. There’s no sign, just a buzzer marked Rippl, and the rooms are decked out in gorgeous period furniture. Family suites may include a kitchen. Breakfast an extra 200 Kč; Wi-Fi connection.
