Originally with just 20 rooms made over from a private house, cosy is the watchword. The building dates from 1348 and designers meshed old-world charm with an open, airy feel although the first rooms were on the plain side. Czech star designer Bořek Šípek has now been tasked with making over the expansion that is, as we go to press, adding 43 rooms. Service is attentive and friendly and you’re smack bang on the main lane leading up to Prague Castle. Terrace restaurant.
