Rough and ready Žižkov is rapidly being turned into Prague’s Greenwich Village, largely down to places like this big shrine to nationalist art. Austrian designer, architect and painter Harald Schreiber is to blame for the interiors – the lobby sports his epic: a giant rendering of about 100 Czech heroes, which does much to contribute to the odd mixture intended to ‘animate the hotel’s guests for a journey through the art and history of the city’.
