This gorgeous belle époque palace was once a meat-processing plant, but that’s hard to imagine in this idyllic corner of Vinohrady. Originally decorated by 19th-century Czech artist Ludêk Mařold in exchange for rent, many of his touches remain, including the frescoed ceilings and staircase. Service is premium and the rooms are classically posh (watch out for the movie crews). A surprisingly well-equipped fitness centre, a buzzing restaurant and a lovely summer terrace add appeal.
