This huge church dating from 1391 was where the proto-Protestant Jan Hus delivered sermons in Czech excoriating the papacy, thus getting himself burnt at the stake in 1415. Neglected for centuries, the chapel was restored by the communists, who say Hus was a useful working-class revolutionary.
