Charles Bridge
Step into the postcard – the stone bridge was built in 1357, is still the most popular place to have your pocket picked or pick up a backpacker, and still delivers that ‘I’m really here’ thrill. The statues arrived in the 17th century, when Josef Brokof and Matthias Braun, were commissioned to inspire the mass conversions of Bohemian Protestants to the Catholicism of the ruling Habsburgs.
