With downtown closing early, nightlife is limited to certain bars in Veruda and a couple of mainstream clubs north-east of the centre. The best is Aruba (Cijanska cesta 1), with a bar outdoors and packed two-room disco inside. Club Uljanik (Dobrilina 2, 098 285 969 mobile, www.clubuljanik.hr) by the harbour has an agenda of alternative bands and DJ nights. The Napleonic Fort Bourguignon near Valsaline Bay hosts regular summer DJ events. Outside Pula, name DJs make it to Joy in Premantura and the Disco Imperial (Fucane 72, 098 193 8984 mobile, www.disco-imperial.com) in Medulin.
