Despite the recent reopening of two keynote venues in town, the Bonavia (Dolac 4, 051 357 100, www.bonavia.hr, €116-€175) and the Jadran (Setaliste XIII Divizije 46, 051 216 600, €90-€107), both four-star, the hotel stock in Croatia's third-biggest town is pretty sad. The Jadran is run by the Hoteli Jadran group (www.hoteli-jadran.hr), which also runs the somewhat tatty Continental and museum-piece Neboder.
