Enoteca Corsi

Via del Gesù 87-88

This 1940s wine shop was the first in Rome to serve lunch. The daily changing menu is on a board at the entrance, with dishes that follow the traditional Roman culinary calendar – potato gnocchi each Thursday and stewed baccalà (salt cod) on a Friday. No bookings are taken, so get there early.

This is really an old-style trattoria but still a fun place to eat in the heart of Rome. Full of bustle and character(s). Honest home cooking at honest prices. May need to queue but it'll be worth it. NB Lunch only. Posted on Aug 20 2008 17:06

This restaurant is a must do when in Rome! Ask for the carbonara even if its not on the menu, they can whip up anything in this joint!! You HAVE to check this place out if going to Rome, actually.. go to rome for this restaurant! Only open for lunch though 12-330 Posted on Feb 21 2008 13:51

An excellent place to sit and have a drink in the evening, even if there is no food. The bottle of Nero d'Avola we had was terrific (and very reasonably priced). Posted on May 21 2007 21:46
