Hang Zhou
Via San Martino ai Monti 33C
Hang Zhou rises above most of Rome’s dull Chinese eateries not so much for the food – which is quite acceptable – but because it’s colourful, friendly, theatrical and incredibly good value. Book for dinner, or be prepared to queue.
"We found the food in Rome for the most part
mediocre" ...I think this comment is inappropriate! I love Hang Zou, but don't tell me u couldn't find good italian food in Rome! Of course... if u go to touristic places, or if u want to eat good food for 10 euros in a restaurant... u're right! Welcome in Italy!

This restaurant rocks. We found the food in Rome for the most part
mediocre. Coming from NYC we expected better. But we just happened to wander into this great chinese restaurant which was right down the block from our hotel Santa Pressede. We were craving vegetables having eaten so much bread and pasta for days so we went here for lunch. The food is excellent. The dumplings rivaled any we ever ate in NY's finest chinese restaurants and the food was reasonable which for two Americans in Rome these days was a welcome factor considering the Euro is at an all time high. We got hammered converting our poor little dollars. Anyway, this place was so good we went back our last night. Luckily we got in at about 7:30 just before the place was mobbed with a line down the block. A great surprise to two carbed out American wanderers.
