Trattoria Monti

Via di San Vito 13A

The cuisine, like the family that runs the place, is from the Marches – so meat, fish and game all feature on the menu. Vegetarians are well served by a range of tortini (pastry-less pies). Make sure you book in the evening.

This was a lovely find. We booked and ate lunch here on a Tuesday in November. The service was friendly and informative and the ambience was relaxed. We had 3 delicious courses and coffee and then made a dash for Termini train staion nearby. We ate a selection of antipasta, some quite unusual, a soft salami pate and a pressed radicchio torte. The pasta was light and left us enough room for cervello (brains) and rabbit for our secondo piati. I would strongly recommend the restaurant if you enjoy good, regional cusine, finely cooked and in a lovely environment. Posted on Dec 04 2006 22:06
