Museo dell’Alto Medioevo
Focusing specifically on the decorative arts between the fall of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance, this museum has intricate gold- and silver-decorated swords, buckles and horse tackle, as well as more mundane objects: ceramic bead jewellery and the metal frames of what may well be Europe’s earliest folding chairs.
