Tucked somewhat out of the way beyond the Vatican, the Franklin is owned by and aimed at music lovers. It has a polished modern feel and the themed rooms – jazz, soul, rock and so on – are light and airy, if not particularly spacious. But each room has state-of-the-art sound equipment on which to enjoy the hotel’s extensive collection of vinyl and CDs, and many have computers too. The Peter Pan suite also has electronic entertainments for kids.
