Centrale Montemartini
It may be true that the Centrale Montemartini contains merely the leftover ancient statuary from the Capitoline Museums but, this being Rome, the dregs are pretty impressive; moreover, the setting itself is worth a visit. Fauns and Minervas, bacchic revellers and Apollos are all starkly white but oddly at home against the gleaming machinery of this decommissioned generating station.
