You can find any number of places along the Riva for standard Adriatic dishes such as brodet (mixed fish stew), black squid risotto (crni rizot) and grilled squid (lignje na zaru). Pizzas are also prevalent. Intimate Sperun (Sperun 3, 346 999) near the Riva offers a friendly dining experience. For upmarket dining, head past Bacvice to the area of Firule, near the tennis courts, a 20-minute walk from the Riva. Key venues here include Sumica (Put Firula 6, 389 897), with its Adriatic view, and the renowned Boban (Hektoroviceva 49, 543 300), attractive inside but set among residential buildings a short, steep climb from the sea. Back towards town in Bacvice, the stylish Stellon (Setaliste Bacvice, 000 000, www.stellon-split.com) is recommended.
