From November to January, Turin is illuminated with a series of light installations, known as Luci d’Artisti. The prestigious Turin Film Festival (011 562 3309, www.torinofilmfest.org) is held in mid November, while chocoholics shouldn’t miss Cioccolatò (late Feb-mid Mar, www.cioccola-to.com). The Processione della Consolata (20 June, Chiesa della Consolata) is a huge, torch-lit procession in honour of the Madonna, while 24 June sees a spectacular evening firework display in honour of the city’s patron saint.
