For wines from both Piedmont and further afield, go to Parola (corso Vittorio Emanuele II 76, 011 544 939, closed Sun); the shop will ship purchases abroad. Turin is home to Europe’s largest open-air market, known locally as Porta Palazzo (piazza della Repubblica, open Mon-Fri mornings and all day Sat), while the Balon flea market is held on Saturdays in and around Borgo Dora.
