Flex (Donaukanal, via Augartenbrücke, 533 7525) is where Vienna’s relaxed club scene all began, and famed DJ duo Kruder & Dorfmeister still man its mighty sound system. In the centre, the tiny Adolf Loos-designed American Bar (Kärtnerdurchgang, 512 3283) is great for cocktails and Porgy & Bess (Riemergasse 11, 512 8811) is Vienna’s best jazz joint.
