Expectations were high when this Main Street newcomer opened for business late in 2007. The extensive cocktail list was designed by Nick Devine - a former Londoner with a cool grasp of mixology - and in the kitchen, chef Travis Williams had done more than decent work around town. The room stands up to the hype: effortlessly hip, with high tables and deep booths rounded out with music from the Clash to the Libertines. The laid-back vibe is taken a little too far, however: the cocktails are served in lumpen glassware, and the food can be unappetising and heavy.
