The name is a homage to famous Gingers (Rogers, Fred Astaire's dancing partner, and Grant, actress Tina Louise from Gilligan's Island), while the bar attracts cool men in black and women in spaghetti straps (the savviest of whom arrive early to claim a sofa from which to hold court). The calm amber lighting here appears to make everyone beautiful. Inventive martinis, Asian fusion tapas and some of the city's sharpest DJs make for a memorable night.
