The main attraction here is the St Roch, the first vessel to have navigated the Northwest Passage in both directions. Regular guided tours follow a short video presentation relating the history and hardships of the journey and crew; the ship's Inuit guide slept in a tent on deck, with his large extended family and pack of huskies, the latter fed with walrus meat. There are a lot of model ships on display, some interesting photos detailing Vancouver's development as a port, and a good interactive discovery area for children. Outside, take a look at the Ben Franklin submersible - a craft found rotting in a scrapyard before being lovingly restored - and the collection of heritage boats at the nearby dock.
