Cassis Bistro review Rate it
Veer off the beaten path on to this grubby stretch of West Pender to find robust French country cooking in a stylish bohemian heritage building with soaring ceilings and polished wood floors. Bistro favourites include slow-simmered daube de boeuf, house-made sausages and bowls of bouillabaisse jazzed up with Pernod, fennel and orange peel. Portions are small, but so are the prices, with most mains ringing in under $12. A wine from the ho-hum list will likely set you back more than the meal.
