Twenty years is a long time in restaurant terms, and Sophie's, which has been providing comfort food to the locals since 1988, certainly qualifies as a Kitsilano institution. The interior is crammed with '50s memorabilia and knick-knacks, making it a fun space to enjoy a burger or a slice of key lime pie. Weekend brunch is incredibly popular; if you're not in by 9am, expect to wait in line.
