It's a hike across to the new Hilton Hotel in the former Molino Stucky flour mill - and the bar is an expensive extravagance - but sit out on the rooftop terrace and survey Venice beneath you, beyond the grand sweep of the Giudecca canal, and you'll certainly feel that it's all worth it. Full meals and light snacks are served but forget the expensive food and just savour the view, with a drink in hand. The Skyline opens evenings only in the winter months.
