Bakina kuća, or Grandma's House, is a great place to keep on the radar for at least a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it's brimming with everything Croatian, so it's a perfect spot to pick up those tasteful, promised souvenirs. There are Croatian bath salts made from local lavender, truffles from Istria, wine from Dalmatia, as well as olive oil, honey, jams, biscuits and an assortment of well made, hand-crafted knick-knacks. The other reason is because Bakina Kuća is directly on the way from the main square to the train station, so you'll have a chance to snatch a keepsake as you're headed out of town.
