Carlos Lamadrid joins Time Out, the global brand that inspires people to make the most of the city, as Managing Director of Global Media Sales.
Based in New York and reporting directly to Christine Petersen (CEO of Time Out Digital), Carlos will lead the global media sales team across all of Time Out Digital’s owned and operated markets. He will oversee all advertising verticals, including creative solutions, digital and print advertising, Live Events as well as programmatic platforms. In his role, Carlos will focus on further growing and strengthening Time Out’s advertising division, delivering innovative solutions and effective campaigns across multiple channels for both global brands and local businesses.
Time Out Digital is Time Out Group plc’s multi-platform media, entertainment and e-commerce division comprising online, mobile, social channels, magazines, and Live Events; the Group’s second business division is Time Out Market. Time Out Group revenue grew by 19% year-on-year in 2017; this includes Time Out Digital revenue growth of 15% (including e-commerce revenue growth of 57%, Premium Profiles revenue growth of 43%, digital advertising revenue growth of 21% and print revenue growth of 1% compared to the prior year) and Time Out Market revenue growth of 60%*.
Carlos joins Time Out Digital from HLC Partners in New York where he was President, strategically advising a wide variety of companies about transforming their businesses in the digital age. Prior to that, he was EVP National Sales & Strategic Partnerships at Entercom, SVP Consumer Solutions at TC Media, EVP at Penske Media Corporation and Senior VP Chief Brand Officer at Woman’s Day Brand Group. Previously, he held roles at Condé Nast, Men’s Journal and Hearst Magazines.
